Truro District Scout Campsite Tomperrow Terms and Conditions

• All bookings must be made online through the Availability and Bookings section of the website. The Privacy section of all bookings must be set as Public – Contact details hidden. This means the entry made under Name will be visible on the booking calendar and any user clicking on that Name will be able to view the entries made under Contact Name and Contact Email. If you do not want your personal email address to be made public, you should create an email account for this purpose. Similarly, you should use a pseudonym for User Name if you do not wish your name to be made public (e.g. A scout group name and role).
• All bookings from organisations outside of Scouting and Guiding must be accompanied by a purchase order before they can be confirmed. If the booking is for camping and exact numbers are not known the purchase order should state “up to a maximum number of [_]”.
• No booking is guaranteed until you receive confirmation.
• The person making the booking takes full responsibility for the booking and must be 18 years of age or older.
• All camps may be required to pay a 20% deposit due at time of booking, the remainder to be paid on receipt of an invoice. If a booking is cancelled the deposit will only be returned if a replacement booking is made to cover the same time period.
• During School Holidays only bookings from Scout and Guide groups or other youth organisations will be accepted. Daily hire is not available during this period.
• During these periods there will also be a minimum camping fee of £100.00 per night
• If you cancel a camp booking between 1^st June to 31^st September, you may also be subject to a further 30% cancellation charge if no replacement booking is made to cover the same time period.
• All groups camping are expected to comply with high camping standards. Follow this link for advice from Unity, the Scout Association Insurance services. Please ensure you have adequate insurance for everyone on site. Especially those not members of the Scout Association.
• Guidance for the use of the site is available on request or see copy on notice board at Tomperrow.
• All vehicles parked at owner’s risk

An invoice will be sent to the booking email address. Payment then can be made by BACS, cash or cheque.
